AI & Call Disclosure
You may be speaking with an AI
Businesses that use SonicFront have an AI receptionist answer their phone and text messages. It introduces itself as a virtual assistant at the start of every call, and it will tell you it is an AI if you ask.
What happens during a call
- Your speech is converted to text so the AI can understand and answer you.
- A written transcript and summary of the call are saved for the business. Audio recordings are not stored.
- The AI can answer questions the business has approved, check availability, book, reschedule or cancel appointments, and take a message.
- If you ask for a person during the business’s open hours, the call is transferred to the business. Otherwise the AI takes a message for them.
Text messages
- After you book, reschedule or cancel, you receive a confirmation text. If the business turns on reminders, you may get one reminder the day before your appointment, never between midnight and 6 AM.
- Texts you send to the business’s number go to the business’s inbox, and staff may reply.
- Reply STOP at any time to stop texts from that number. Standard message rates may apply.
Limits
The AI can make mistakes. It does not give binding quotes, diagnoses or professional advice. For anything important, ask to speak with the team or leave a message.
